exciting and enjoyable calendar of courses covering ceramics, photography, jewellery making and much more.

For beginners : 4th March 2017
9.30am – 1pm
Join professional photographer and magazine publisher Les Jones for a fun and interactive morning that will introduce
you to the key basics of photography. You will learn about the most important functions of your camera and be taken
through a host of hints and tips covering lighting, composition and exposure. The morning will concentrate on portrait
and still life photography.
Please bring your own camera.

7pm – 10pm
Join award-winning pewtersmith Ella McIntosh on her Pewter Cuttlefish Casting Workshop to make your own lead-free Pewter
jewellery charm or cufflinks. Casting molten Pewter into Cuttlefish bone is a wonderful process which allows you to scratch, draw
or press into the medium giving you a huge scope to produce your own unique design. Ella will guide you through the process
of taking your design into a workable mould and casting the Pewter before finishing the cast and turning it into a piece of jewellery
or cufflinks using silver findings. This is a fun evening using an unusual media.

We’re pleased to welcome back ceramicist Jane Dixon who will help you to make your own decorated ceramic bowl which will then be fired.
Once the fired bowls have been delivered back, we’ll arrange the second date for you to come and glaze your bowl.
Please wear old clothes or bring an apron.
